About Me
Hi! I’m Jacqueline, a filmmaker and recent graduate from DePaul University! I received my Bachelors in Fine Arts with a Concentration in Directing and a Sound Design Minor. However, my film journey started way before I got my degree.
I grew up in the small town of Vicksburg, Michigan with my 6 sibling. Early on, I watched an unhealthy amount of television, which quickly led to my dream to be an actress in the film industry and my love for performing arts. As time went on I started to realize that it was more than the acting I was passionate about. Once I officially changed my major at DePaul, I was excited and scared, but knew I had made the right choice.
My love for sound design snuck up on me as it started off as a required course. I’ve now helped my fellow filmmakers bring their vision to life with my sound design and contribute to projects that have been shown at festivals all over the country. My passion for casting came about from a TV production course and grew from there. I’ve loved being able to help people find the right cast for their projects while also utilizing skills and perspective I’ve gained from my prior acting experience.
I’ve recently finished the short film I wrote, casted and directed. I could not be more grateful for the experience. Working with other creators has taught me so much and I’m so excited to be able to bring my vision to life this year.
When I’m not on set or deep into my laptop, you’ll find me playing badminton, dancing, thrifting, spending time outside, or watching one of my comfort shows (it’s probably Gilmore Girls, Abbott Elementary, or Queer Eye).
At this in time I’m seeking any learning opportunities in the film industry, whether that be jobs, internships, sets, or fellowships. Feel free to check out my projects and don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to creating with you:)
